Rake-O Family Fall Festival

Howdy, folks! Yesterday, I had a grand ole time doing mini-storytimes as part of the Rake-O Family Fall Festival at the Rakow Branch Library in Elgin. I did a mixture of cowboy, farms, animals, and fun. Yee-haw!

IN OTHER NEWS: I just started a new job over at the Poplar Creek Library in Streamwood! I’ll be focusing on outreach for PK-Grade 2 in the schools. I’m excited about this new challenge and look forward to being more active on this website.

**Open up the Barn Door (source unknown)
Open up the barn door, tra la la
There’s a sheep inside, he’s saying Baa
Open up the barn door, it’s a sunny day
There’s a horse inside, and she’s saying Neigh
Open up the barn door as fast as you know how
There’s a cat inside, and she’s saying Meow
Open up the barn door, keep it open now
There’s a dog inside who’s saying Bow-wow
Open up the barn door, we have a lot to do
There’s a cow inside, and she’s saying Moo
Open up the barn door, quick as you can point
There’s a pig inside, and he is saying Oink
