This month, the library introduced a new program: Super Saturday Stories. Last Saturday, I presented a storytime for kids in grades K-3 that highlighted the favorite folktale, Little Red Riding Hood. We had a blast recreating the traditional tale by having the children do a readers theater presentation, reading variant books and poems, storytelling, and watching a video of a Bugs Bunny version. I hope to do another “Super Saturday Stories” program in the future and play with other fairy tales and folktales. Also: be on the lookout! I will be posting a podcast version of Little Red Riding Hood in the near future…and hope to be posting monthly podcasts of favorite traditional stories.<\/p>\n
